  • Punk Rock Bowling 2008

This year's PRB was a complete blast. Our set on Friday with The Adolescents, Youth Brigade, American Steel & Nothington was awesome. I don't say this too often but we played really well, considering that we have not rehearsed since November. It was pretty great watching and listening to the other bands too. Everyone rocked. Seriously.

We didn't get in on the bowling tournament cuz we missed registration but that was ok. Just watching was plenty entertaining and we ended up running into some old buddies (Pete/Bouncing Souls, Dave/Vision, SideOneDummy gang, etc. etc.) and chatting.

On Saturday, the Emo Riot crew (Jeff & Ryan) premiered "Let Them Know", a new film documenting the history of BYO Records and Youth Brigade and I have to say, it is one of the best, most in-depth, funniest, most entertaining music documentaries I have ever seen. And yeah, 7Seconds is featured pretty prominently throughout but even if we weren't, I'd still love the film. I'm not sure when it comes out or even how it will (will it be released theatrically or just just on DVD?) but go out and see it the minute it comes out cuz it is really an awesome little piece of work.

We all had a great time and we enjoyed talking and hanging out with all the friends and fans who made it out and came up to say hi. And if you have never experienced Punk Rock Bowling, make sure to catch it next year. Who can't appreciate an entire hotel/casino/bowling alley literally being taken over by punk rockers from all over the planet? :)
