    .... Bani Abdul Rahman Music profile A member of the People's Association Malay Combo Band as a musician from 1993 to 1996. Played electric bass for various government bodies' official functions in Spore. Also played in numerous Malay cultural events for Community Clubs around Singapore. A musician, bass player for several jingles for Turntable Music, session bass player for local artiste Tanya Chua, Art Fazil, Brinal Chua; local bands such as Blindspot, Stoned Revivals and many other club stints included No.5 with funk band "Flu Biscuits". Recorded bass on Blindspot albums entitled "sky, land, water" and Brinal Chua's album "The Changes". Recorded for local artistes Max & Shanti EP titled "I'll see you." Played bass for Singapore's Idol Taufik Batisah, "Thank you Concert" live and on VCD. Played for several TV shows, most recently Suria's Akustik backing Malaysian Artistes Yasin, Man Bai and Najib Ali's Popumentari, backing Malay recording artiste Hetty Sarlene, Eka Mairina, Ahli Fikir. Played some gigs and session with local band B-Quartet. Completed session work on Rosli's album Dragged (Solo Guitar Rock album) Played some live promo gigs with Rosli Mansor, gigs include Homemade 2007 backing Maia Lee and Michaela Therese plus some club stints with two bands Six in the City and Michelle Poh & Stuff toys. Played bass live with Nathan Hartono on latest released DVD and live CD recording of "Feeling Good with Nathan Hartono at Esplanade. Co-produced and session bass player/guitarist for Cartoon Network's "Jungle Bells" a Christmas promo featuring "the powerpuff girls", "Johnny Bravo", "Cow and Chicken" and "Dexter's Lab". Designed a Basic guitar course on chords and strumming, taught at Bedok View Secondary School for a year and currently teaching Fairfield Methodist Secondary, Dunman High and Bedok Green Secondary. Currently teaching electric bass and basic guitar at Music Lab. Also conducted bass workshop at Music Lab, Anaki Records, Soft.com and Yamaha Music. Also collaborated/ played gigs with singer Trisno Ishak, Dawn Ho and guitarist Regi Leo, Syed Munir and Alvin principal drums educator from Music Lab as well as local band Soul Circle featuring Wyne Shandosam. Also collaborated with fellow musicians for functions with drummer Tama Goh and keyboardist, arranger, music director Indra Shahril. Most recent gig was the Youth Olympic games showcase representing Singapore in Mexico and Korea as a bass player. Latest club gigs include backing 'Live the dream' winner Fendi, Liliy Nooris, Alemay Maya Nova and American jazz singer Richard Jackson along side Aya Sakine on keyboards at Blu Jazz. Most recent gigs/shows include Jazz by the beach and music by the beach at Sentosa's cool deck and All i really want, tribute to the music of Alanis Morisette featuring Lily Anna Nuris on vocals. Did a tribute to Jimi Hendrix on bass and vocals ...at Blu Jaz twice and the Esplanade's waterfront with Regi Leo on guitars, Aya Sekine on keys and Boon Gee on drums.. Currently playing every second Sunday of the month at Halia Restaurant , Botanic Gardens with Regi Leo and American Jazz singer Richard Jackson . Most recent overseas gig ...Asean business Convention in New Delhi, India with a ethnic new age band New Horizon featuring Andy C on flute..performing to Asean delegates. Additional Yamaha Activities Involvements: - - Co-coordinator for drum clinics Zildjian world Tour 1999, accompanied Manu Katche, drummer for Sting and Peter Gabriel, as a bass player, during the clinic performance. Also involved with other clinics in Spore with Drum Artist such Peter Erskine and Steve Smith in the year 2002 and 2003 respectively. - Involve in Yamaha band competition, Yamaha Band Alert '98/'99 as co-coordinator and judge for several heats and semi-finals. Also involved in band competition Asian Beat 2002/2003/2004 as Band manager. - Bass technician for renowned bassist Billy Sheehan, for his clinics in Singapore twice for the year 1997 and 2004. - Organizing Secretary for Yamaha Rock Guitar competition 2004 in conjunction with Steve Vai concert in Singapore.
