  • Bio

.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... Hey, I am Gash Mo and I come from a little European country called Estonia. I was born on March 14, 1987. Music has been a part of me since I was a child, but I never thought about doing it by myself, until my good friend made me a proposal to start a band. .... The year was about 2002 and it was the high spot of nu-metal bands like Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach and Linkin Park. My personal favourite was Deftones. I remember wearing similar clothes and having the same haircut as Deftones’ frontman Chino had. He was a big idol for me. We wanted to follow our idols and decided to make nu-metal as well. We named the band Paingreed. Soon enough melodies piled up in my head and I had to write them down. Then I discovered that I have talent for songwriting. After nu-metal started to fade out, we smoothly changed our style more melodic and emotional. Paingreed was a very promising young act, but unfortunately we broke up due to some difficulties in the band. .... After that I almost gave up making music, but a few years later my brother's band Bedwetters started to gain popularity in Estonia. I spent most of my time hanging out with them and helping them to write and arrange their songs. It went so well, that they won MTV European Music Awards in a category for New Sounds Of Europe in 2007 and performed Dramatic Letter To Conscience (which is written by me) in front of the whole Europe. The song also won Estonian biggest radio station 'Radio2' Hit Of The Year award. I experimentally made a synthesizer intro for that song. Bedwetters' guys liked it and after that electronica is inextricable part of their music. .... Making this synthesized intro changed my whole point of view in music. My interest for electronic music grew day by day and I soon bought myself a bunch of gear (Roland SH-201, MicroKorg, Roland SP-555, Kaosspad...) and started experimenting. I spent almost every hour of my day behind my synthesizers, learning the secrets of sound design and analog synthesis. For a while I just put down all my ideas that popped into my head, but later I realized, that I want to become a professional producer. My musical taste has broadened so much, that I started to like music, which I earlier wouldn't even imagine myself listening to. I found myself being fascinated in the sound of electro house and techno. Soon enough I produced my first house tracks that came out pretty good. .... My style is very characteristic. It’s influenced by rock music, that I made earlier, as well as modern electronic records and it also has an 80's and 90's disco touch in it. I was a big fan of old-school Nintendo back then, when it was popular and I took a part of it into my music. My songs are enriched by different sounds and melodies layered on each other. This distinguishes me from other producers, who hold more minimal line in their music. I have a lot of room to develop, because I'm still very fresh and inexperienced in electronic music, but I believe, that this is just the beginning of my promising career. Finally, when I have found, what I do best, there is no way stopping me doing, what I truly love. ........ Contact: gashmo@gmail.com
