Bio
Danny Quinn is a singer/songwriter who has now been in the business for over 34 fours. Starting with rock and roll at an early age he developed an interest in Irish music through the singing of The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. At the age of 18 he formed a group with his brother Tim called the Mighty Quinn. They were then joined by Tom Cashman. They released two albums and worked together until 1982. Danny Quinn and Tom Cashman then formed a group called Stoutheart. They were sponsored by Guinness Stout and toured the U.S. and Canada. Stourtheart released one album called Irish Heroes. Danny then went on to work with Tommy Makem famed singer/songwriter who was a legend in Irish and American folk music. During this time Danny also formed his own band simply called the Danny Quinn Band. To this date Danny has released 8 albums of his own many combining his original music with the Irish and American folk music he loves. Danny hoasted five radio programs over the years spotlighting his favorite music. Danny now also tours with Tom Gardner in a duo called the Uncle Brothers. They are an award winning Children's music duo who have released four albums together including their most recent Christmas cd Mooseltoe. Danny's live shows are not to be missed. He performs throughout the U.S., Canada, England and Ireland. Each year Danny Runs musical trips to Ireland with his friend Liam Maguire.
