About me:

I know I'm an intelligent, creative, thoughtful, considerate person. I like significant friendships/relationships that stem from sincerity. It's important to me to make new friends who love music, can appreciate science fiction, literature, movies, pop culture, books, James Bond films and novels, some traditional/classic vampire films of the 1950's through the mid 1980's. I have a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Theater. And I studied a little of Philosophy and Theology while in college before graduating in May of 1995. If I had a dollar for every time I was called "a sweetie", I'd be rich. I'm not a sweetie, just a guy who makes an effort to show I can value and appreciate other people in a thoughtful, caring, encouraging way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFdZ8GregdA&feature=youtube_gdata

Who I'd like to meet:

I'm always willing to make new friends with anyone who is artistic, creative, ambitious, appreciative, honest, and above all, kind. People with a passion for music and songwriting are always favored on my site. I'm grateful that I've met so many this year. Among them are: Avian Sunrise, Brandon White, Gus Bryce, John Galea, Pyro Fighters, Steel Water, and Lost in the Void. I've gotten close to many people, even some mentioned here. Ones I hold dear are, to name a few, Martino Vergnaghi, The Peppermint Apes, Kenny Woods (whom I never thought I'd get to know so well), and Ron Dante. Matthew Jordan is to be handshaked/hugged for his friendship as well. I always remind this one friend and super talented musician that if it weren't for him being my first myspace friend in late March of 2008, I don't know where I'd be. His name is Barry Harris. He has a legion of fans and friends now. I hope he knows how much I admire his talent and am grateful for his friendship. He's a fellow Barry Manilow fan himself and can play/sound so much like him. I'm graeteful for everyone I've met and I love showing them support, love, encouragement. Let me also mention Joshua Payne. Take a listen to his music and you'll see him within the ranks of Josh Groban and Rhydian Roberts. At least I do. All of these friends and I'm sure more have been kind enough to comment me and message me. I look forward to our friendship daily, weekly, monthly, however it comes. It's a blessing. It's life infusing. Thank you for YOU!!

Hi. Thanks for taking a look at my page. It's October 5, 2010 (to give you an idea of when I decided to start updating, facelifting, instill some kind of growth to my page). I've had this page since the end of March, 2008. Seem like a long time? Maybe it is. Anyway, I hope you enjoy yourself on my page since it's full of music and creative musical, literary projects that I've been working on. In the past, I've done a little community theater. In April of 2008, I had a minor role in Barry Manilow's Copacabana: The Musical. The trouble here was, I knew about the entire musical and it was hard to keep my mouth shut since I had been following this play since its infancy in 1985 as a television movie! I knew too much for my own good. Still, I enjoyed doing it. I was deemed the "Resident Fanilow". I'm a huge Barry Manilow fan, however, "Copcabana" isn't a favorite song of mine. There have been several other versions of the song released since 1978 that I will listen to. I do karaoke a good deal and I love doing different songs whenever I go. If I feel the vibe is good, I will bring out my favorite Barry Manilow tune, "Keep Each Other Warm" and attempt to bring down the club or bar with the microphone. Hey, I respect good music and the artist who made it possible for the song to come into being. You won't find me doing a song if I can't feel it. It's got to have meaning, sincerity, romance, passion, a life-infusing flair for me to want to do it. Karaoke is all in good fun, I understand that, but as I see it you came out after freshening yourself up to enjoy yourself. Therefore, I respect that and you shouldn't hear something that makes dogs and cats howl around the neighborhood. Simply stated, my love for music started with my childhood idol, Bobby Vinton. The first love song I ever heard was "Roses Are Red (My Love)". The first love song I learned how to sing was "My Melody of Love". I still go to see my hero whenever he's playing nearby and I make the attempt to go and say Hi. I have done that a few times in my life. I'm proud that "The Polish Prince" turned my musical motor on and I'm glad that my four grandparents when I was three years old threw his music on the record player. (I just went to a nightclub show of Bobby's July 10, 2010 in the Poconos of Pennsylvania and I had a blast.) Bobby started my musical motor. Barry Manilow continued it. I do "My Melody of Love" in karaoke every so often and it never fails to affect me, much less touch me emotionally. This page is geared towards music and other creative, literary, performing arts. You won't be bored. I promise you. I hope my page is someplace you come back to frequently because you simply want to. You liked it. You found a musician I chose to support and listen to him, her, or them (a band) again. You liked reading something I put up. You wanted to be a friend...
  • Music

I love music dearly and my collection is geared towards adult contemporary music, new age, some country, and dance mixes. I do karaoke twice or three times a week in my area with friends of mine and I’m always thinking of what I could do next, where songs are concerned. Barry Manilow’s music is what I’m known to do. I change it up weekly, however I do his stuff, but not so much the hits. Here’s rundown of some songs and artists I perform from downloads burned to cd. Stay (Barry Manilow) Keep Each Other Warm (Barry Manilow) If Tomorrow Never Comes (Barry Manilow’s version) My True Love (Kenny Woods) Can't Fight This Feeling (REO Speedwagon) For Your Eyes Only (Sheena Easton) Tomb Of The Unknown Love (Kenny Rogers) Scarlet Fever (Kenny Rogers) Place In This World (Michael W. Smith) Together Forever (Rick Astley) Love Changes Everything (Michael Ball) Ocean Deep (Cliff Richard) Silhouettes (Cliff Richard) My Love (Westlife) What About Us? (John Barrowman) Looks Like We Made It -"Live" rendition (Barry Manilow) Somewhere Down The Road (Barry Manilow) Please Don't Be Scared (Barry Manilow) Even Now -"Live" rendition (Barry Manilow) Dancing In The Aisles (Barry Manilow) You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling (Barry Manilow's version) If There Were No Dreams (Neil Diamond) Heart To Heart (John Denver) Morning Desire (Kenny Rogers) When You Put Your Heart In It (Kenny Rogers) I Believe In Happy Endings (Neil Diamond) When You Tell Me That You Love Me (Julio Iglesias) One Step Out Of Time (Michael Ball) Every Woman In The World (Air Supply) The Best Of Me (Barry Manilow or Cliff Richard) Ready To Take A Chance Again (Barry Manilow) Weekend In New England (Barry Manilow) Don't Close Your Eyes (Keith Whitley) ...the list goes on for a LONG time I must give credit to the companies that put out these songs. Ameritz, Stingray, APM, Musical Creations, to name a few, are great in recreating a lot of these songs and more. I do songs from my DJ friends’ songbook, but they keep these songs and more possibly in their hard drive. Singing without the words and from memory is great when people watch and wonder how I memorized these songs and do them with feeling. You have to like the songs and respect the artists and listen to what you are singing. I care about the way I sound and I love to entertain them, let alone sing these great songs. They are sincere, meaningful, and romantic. I made a new friend within the past few months who means a lot to me and I decided to put up a banner. Brandon White is his name and I thoroughly enjoy his music. Avian Sunrise and Gus Bryce are two other artists I'm clinging to musically, as I am John Galea and Joshua Payne. As far as what I listen to otherwise and get inspiration from, it varies greatly. In my library in addition to the artists there, I have: Dan Fogelberg, Lee Greenwood, Rita Coolidge, Peter Cetera, Robin Gibb, The Bee Gees, Anne Murray, Judy Collins, Stephen Bishop, Michael McDonald, Russell Watson, Sarah Brightman, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Michael Crawford, Michael Bolton, Billy Gilman, Neil Diamond, Joey McIntyre, Alias, Air Supply, Russell Hitchcock (of Air Supply), Glenn Medeiros, Kris Allen, Bucks Fizz, Celine Dion, Ron Dante, David Archuleta, Kyle Vincent, Donna Summer, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Patrizio Buanne, Paul Anka, Bobby Vinton (my childhood idol!!), Ballas Hough Band, David Foster.. That’s enough for now LOL I listen to my friends on here a lot, too. DOWNLOAD THIS- Russell Hitchcock “Take Time” This is one of the best pop albums I’ve ever heard. It just resurfaced last September or October. It was recorded in the 1990’s and I guess Russell decided to release it. I found it back in March of this year!! My favorite song as of late has been “I’ll Be Good To You”. It’s from his album and the song itself is so like an anthem. I wrote a chapter around that song and the album since I’m using a “pop” soundtrack to influence the actions/behaviors of the characters in my vampire novel. I’m writing it to be fun, entertaining, and clever. That song will likely show up throughout the novel. Air Supply released a new album on May 4, 2010. “Mumbo Jumbo” is its title and it’s one of the best albums I’ve heard all year next to Russell’s. They’ve reinvented themselves.
  • Movies

My favorite film of all-time, hands down, is Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. This is an even tie with Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Cool DVDs: Jumper, The Prestige, Batman: Gotham Knight, Superman: Doomsday, Wedding Crashers, Simone, 88 Minutes, Dracula 1979 (Frank Langella), Count Dracula (BBC Production starring Louis Jordan), Fright Night, Dracula 2000, The Living Daylights, Tomorrow Never Dies, For Your Eyes Only, Batman (Michael Keaton), The Dark Knight, The Hound of The Baskervilles (Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing), Robert Klein: The HBO Specials 1975-2005.. Again enough for now. MUSIC DVDs: Michael Ball: Live In London Live: One Voice One Special Night Past And Present Tour Live The Best of Michael Ball Live Cliff Richard: Live Here and Now 50th Anniversary Time Machine Tour 2008 Castles In The Air John Barrowman: An Evening With John Barrowman Westlife: Live At Wembley The Number Ones Tour Live At Croke Park Stadium Robin Gibb: WITH THE NEUE PHILHARMONIE FRANKFURT ORCHESTRA LIVE Peter Cetera: Live With the Salt Lake City Symphony Orchestra Barry Manilow: Songs From The Seventies First And Farewell: One Night Live One Last Time Music and Passion One Night On Broadway VHS: The Concert At Blenheim Palace, Live in Japan, The Barry Manilow Concert from the Pittsburgh Civic Centre (legalized rare copy) (Barry Manilow was at his best in the 1980's I always felt!)

Lewis Black's new book, Me of Little Faith, in unabridged audiobook is recommended. I'm at serious work on a vampire novel so far titled "Offerings Renounced". It is a theological and philosophical account of vampires and human beings in the 21st century and their struggle against salvation and what is immortal vs eternal. I'm always open to feedback and suggestions.
  • Heroes

I salute one of the greatest comedians of our time, George Carlin. Pick up his new and last CD, It's Bad For Ya. I had the pleasure of meeting this man who is one of my heroes and he will be greatly missed. He made me look at life, language, the way we think, and laugh like I've never laughed before. Look at this website of my foremost hero, Barry Manilow. www.manilowuk.com Also, I created my myspace name from a man who is likely my favorite Star Trek actor, John DeLancie. J-John, D-DeLancie, Q-his character, Entity-what Q is on the television series. John has also co-authored two books: I, Q (with Peter David) and Soldier of Light (with Tom Cool).
