Jenny Hoyston may be best known for her work with Erase Errata, but the San Francisco-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist has many projects, including the electronic-based Paradise Island and her solo work.
Hoyston also plays with LESBIANS, which also includes Tara Jespen and Michelle Lawler, hosts a DJ night, and authors a zine, Don't Worry. Once Erase Errata was established as one of underground rock's most challenging bands, Hoyston debuted Paradise Island in 2003; after the success of Erase Errata's 2006 album Nightlife, she worked on The Hallways of Always, a set of duets with William Elliott Whitmore, and a Paradise Island EP, Latitudes. She also recorded the solo album Isle Of in Detroit and Portland, where she collaborated with Christina Files (who also worked with the Swirlies and Mary Timony). Southern issued all three releases in 2007. ~ Heather Phares
