July Fighter was born of Jimmy Lyback's songs not fit for the rock bands he has played with over the years. Songs that were often very heartfelt and not just built off of a riff with lyrics thrown on top for instant song. The songs here have substance, story and continuity from the first note heard, through the lyrics, verses, chorus's, bridges, to the last sigh of the song. Also on a lighter note. Journalist Nick Rod says, "get down and funky to bringing the sumky". Qouted from the Source magazine August 2009. Caught you guys at The Cabooze. Very well structured. Shows a lot of thought went into exactly how a song should be presented. All good but like the newer crowd pleaser stuff towards the end of the show.
