How you doing brother? How is life treating you? Was just thinking about FSU, and the good times I had there. Thought I'd write ya, since you were a part of them. I pray God is blessing you beyond belief right now. Look to Him, the author and perfecter of our faith. God Bless!

I do just about everthing, at least once anyway. I enjoy cars a lot; my 1969 Cutlass is a lot of fun, but I'm happy to say that after six years, I still smile every time I drive my Subaru WRX. Now I just need to stay off the WRX owners' forums so I don't keep buying parts for my car. When I'm not busting my knuckles on the cars, I play most sports, but prefer those that aggression and hustle can make up for a lack of talent, like basketball, soccer, and baseball. Too bad I'm feeling old lately and don't recover quite as quickly as I think I should. My pride normally keeps me competitive in whatever sport I'm playing in, but the next few days are filled with aches and pains. I've been active in church since high school, but not until college did I really "get" it. Then I learned about having a personal relationship with Jesus and what He really wants for us. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check for yourself. He's big enough to show Himself to you, through all the confusion. Trust me...He's worth it.
  • Music

I've grown up on classic rock and am a big fan of Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, Tom Petty, and Boston. I also like alternative and some more modern rock like Metallica, Lincoln Park, and Evanescence. Mostly in the last several years, I've spent my time listening to Christian music, from Christian rock to Praise and Worship. My favorites are Skillet, Pillar, Kutless, Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Darrell Evans, Third Day...the list goes on. There's a lot of good stuff out there. Some classics if anyone is looking for input: Jars of Clay- Flood; David Crowder Band- Illuminate; DC Talk- Jesus Freak; Kutless- Sea of Faces; Rich Mullins- Songs; Delirious- Cutting Edge; Jennifer Knapp- Kansas; Third Day-Offerings (ok most anything by Third Day)... "He chose to give it all- Jesus endured the pain- Paying a debt I owed and created a paradox in me- Nail pierced hands they run with blood- A splitting brow forced by the thorns- His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me And in my heart I know that you're the only one- Who could of came and died, a sacrifice- As your God's only son" --Kutless, "Passion"

I really should read more. But some classics to me have been the Bible, John Hagee's historical fiction series, anything by Max Lucado, Men's Health, and Handyman Magazine.

Jesus, of course. He is Love. How could I not follow Him??? I've been very fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful people with strong values and big hearts. I sorta feel like my family has given me a legacy of working hard, loving people, and doing the right things. My grandparents on both sides had humble beginings and through hard work built lives characterized by a loving and giving family. My parents raised me to do the right thing, treat people like I want to be treated, and to serve others. I also have wonderful friends from growing up in Ohio, college in Florida, and now my second stint in Ohio. All these people have one thing in common: I met them in church. Its amazing that God even cares about giving us wonderful friends. These people are my hereos.

Blurbs

About me:

I grew up in Dayton, Ohio, managed to go to college at Florida State University, and now the Air Force is showing me the world. I'm married and as of the end of July, I'm a daddy. Wow, does that change someone's perspective on life! God has been faithful, even when I haven't been. Joel 2:25, "And I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten..."

....
