The first ever, skateboard related, "SUPPORT THE TROOPS" BOWL BASH
will be held on Saturday, March 14, 09 (rain date 03-21) at Penn Valley
skatepark; it will start at 12:00pm. Please do your best to show-up and
donate what you can. One can either bring much needed items already
listed, including from what Jeremy has mentioned, pre-packaged hard
candy for the local kids. If he or she wants to donate just a few
dollars, then that money will be used to buy needed donations, which
will be sent out to Jeremy via the USO. There will be plenty of food and beverages!
At one time or another, some of us have skated with one
of the Shifflet's. Jeremy is currently serving in Iraq, and whether one
is for or against the US being there, the point is, one of our fellow
skaters' is now going to be in Country for a long time. So, let's
support Jeremy and his Marine unit by donating what "You" can to make
his stay a little more comfortable, considering where he's at.

Kelly,
who is Shane, Jeremy, Kyle and Jessica's mother wants to hold a
"Support the Troops" Bowl Bash at Penn Street some time very soon;
however, to get the ball rolling, here is a brief list of items one can
donate:
1. Sun screen; 2. Baby wipes; 3. Hand-sanitizers; 4. Dry
shampoo; 5. Foot or baby powder; 6. Anti-fungal cream; 7. Lip balm; 8.
Large, white socks; 9. Large, white boxer briefs; 10. Stamps and
envelopes; 11. Reading material (no porn); 12. Decks of cards; 13. Any
type of energy bars; or powder which can be used in his canteens; 14.
Disposable razors or any other items that he can use without using a
lot of drinking water; 15. and last but not least, letters of support.
At
the same time, if anyone wants to donate any of the above items then he
or she can either wait until the "Support the Troops" Bowl Bash, which
will be held sometime in March, or one can give items to John, Shane or
Kyle whenever you skate with them.

Finally,
let's show Jeremy that even if one may not believe in why the US is in
Iraq, supporting those that our voluntarily serving in Iraq or
Afghanistan is what it's all about in my opinion....! Thanks.
