    Latest Noos.....Leadfinger released a 3rd album WE MAKE THE MUSIC on April 8th 2011. recorded at Sydney's BJB recording studios in Spring 2010. 2010 saw the release of Up North/Down Under - a compilation of 6 Aussie and 6 Swedish rock bands in a battle of the new rock'n'roll, chase down a copy from Bootleg Booze Records...artwork by Dirty Donny, Liner notes by the Barman and Dave Champion!! Leadfinger are a band from Australia, we play rock'n'roll and we play it like there is no tomorrow, sometimes we masquerade as an alt-country type band and we also dabble in power pop and the blues, occassionally our singer does solo gigs on his Dobro, accompanied by whoever he can talk into playing with him. A bit about band, myself etc...Leadfinger was started by my good self, Stewart 'Leadfinger' Cunningham in 2006 as solo type thingo, I had some new songs and felt like getting up and making a fool of myself again...Steve O'Brien (Tumbleweed, The Unheard) joined the Leadfinger band on Drums and we did a few half arsed gigs as a 2 piece in late 2006. On NYE 2006 the band was augmented by ex-Thumlock bass player, Wayne Stokes and we recorded the Rick Kids album. With Wayne and then Steve leaving, the current 4 piece line up came together in November 2008. All up there have been a lot of solo and band gigs in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle, Batemans Bay and our home town of Wollongong with the likes of YOU AM I, Celibate Rifles, Front End Loader, Kim Salmon and The Visitors and we've put a few rekids out....apart from that I've been playing rock'n'roll since 1985 when I was a young lad....with rock bands like ..Brother Brick.., ..Proton Energy Pills.., Asteroid B-612, ..The Yes Men.. and then Power Pop stuff with ..Challenger 7.., I decided to make some new mistakes so here I am again... I was born in Glasgow, Scotland and emigrated to Australia when I was 3 years old. I heard that the music scene was happening over here and that the weather was fine!
