WHAT IS AUTHORITY Y'ALL
Well peoples, according to the Oxford dictionary, this Greek word POWER
primarily means AUTHORITY.
What do you think is meant by authority?
Check out Bridgetown after 4 p.m. during the week, ULTIMATE TRAFFIC
JAM! –You’ll find cars galore and on rare occasions can be seen
directing traffic. These policemen raise their hands and cars stop.
We all know these men don’t have any power to stop cars infact some of
them look as though they’ve been run down by cars!! Besides what can
one man do? His strenuous efforts can’t stop these turbo engine
vehicles. However he is invested with the authority of the government.
C’mon are y’all with me? Even the frustrated drivers recognise the
authority of the policeman and OBEY IT. Here we see authority is
delegated power.
Ephesians 6:10 says: “Finally be strong in the Lord and in his mighty
power.”
Many of us read this extract and think that the Lord is trying to tell
us to be strong in ourselves. So we try to be strong, by trying to
hold to hold out and hold on. But the BIBLE doesn’t say a word about
being strong in yourself. It says: “BE STRONG IN THE LORD!!!!”
What would you think if you saw a policeman trying to hold a car back?
He can’t possibly do it because he’s no match for it. Paul said, “Be
strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.” The policeman
doesn’t use his strength but he’s strong in the authority that is given
to him.
Now Luke 10:19 says: “I have given you authority to trample on snakes
and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will
harm you.”
C’mon y’all: You can step right you there before the devil, hold up
your hand, and tell him where to get off. Tell him to stop just like
the policeman stops the cars-ENOUGH IS ENOUGH SATAN STOP RIGHT HERE.
Remember now peoples, Jesus said: “I give unto you the power to tread
on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.” Or “I
give unto you authority.”
God himself is the force behind the authority. The Christian who is
thoroughly aware of the divine power behind him and of his own
authority can face the authority WITHOUT FEAR OR HESITANCY.
Behind the authority possessed by us Believers is a power GREATER than
the power, which backs our enemies. In case you’re wondering, our
enemies are those who are compelled:
(That is-driven/forced/obligated/constrained etc) to recognise our
authority.
Anywho! Continue to hail up de 1 who died fuh we sins, and hold onto
Him rather than who we think He is or who He should be! (Be strong in
the Lord and in the power of his might.)

Exercising Your Authority
Graham thanx for encouraging me to recognize my ability to relay
information via news articles as a gift. It was cleverly disguised as
a “popularity contest” but I thank God for His grace that permits me to
ENCOURAGE others through any means necessary.
Anywho Peoples! I’ll get to the point. God’s plan for us is that we
rule and reign in our lives –that is we reign over circumstances,
proverty, disease and everything that would hinder us. We reign
because we have authority. We reign by JC (Jesus Christ).
Sometimes we act like mocking birds with staring eyes and our mouths
WIDE OPEN. Anybody can come along and shove anything down us and we
believe it. Why? Cuz we think that we’re supposed to be HUMBLE and not
have anything.
The enemy enjoys mindsets. Even if it means titling Christians as
being ‘stubborn.’ A ‘Christian’ friend of mine once told me she
doesn’t know anybody in ‘high place’ besides nobody recognises ‘poor
people’.
What manner of korn beef is dat?
Irregardless of our income brackets, “God provides ALL OUR RESOURCES
FOR US, but it’s up to us to EXERCISE OUR AUTHORITY.
Peoples there are many successful Christian corporate enterprises in
Barbados. The Chief Executive Officers (CEO s) recognise this and go
forth BOLDLY claiming what God has already promised His people.
Recently I’ve noticed that sometimes many folk allow the devil to cheat
them out of any blessing they could have. You know, God didn’t intend
that we should be proverty stricken. He said we are to reign in life.
He didn’t intend that the devil should dominate us and our families.
Y’all know I get really mad at the devil-‘murderous’ I like to call it
but I’m sick of him ruling our domain. Don’t y’all agree that some of
us who know more should help those who don’t know by acting for them;
however the time is coming when they are going to have to do some
things for themselves.
We must learn to be exalted to the place where God wants us. The
church fails a bit too OFTEN in the ministry of authority and is bowed
in defeat and overcome with fear.
Ephesians 1:22 says: “And God placed all things under his feet
appointed him to be head over everything for the church.”
Peoples we need to consider these truths. Once these truths grip our
hearts we will REAP RICH REWARDS.
With this attitude, the Spirit of Truth can lift us in the place where
we can see the true meaning of God’s revelation. As my buddy Antonio
Banderas at BCC often tells me, “…when we see what belongs to us, it is
then we will enjoy the victory He has for us.”
So continue being stubborn for Christ,tek de victory and brek up de
enemy. With God's grace we can destroy the enemy at his own game.
