I put my TV on channel 915, Alternative, and just let it play until a Red Hot Chilli Peppers' song comes on. Then I tune to Retro-Active or Electronicia. 2007 was the year of Fall Out Boy for me. I still sing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and "I'm Picking Out a Thermos For You" from The Jerk in the shower pretty much every day. Favorites are THE DRESDEN DOLLS, Green Day, The Killers, Fiona Apple, Garbage, Foo Fighters, Prince, Bjork, Bowie, Peter Gabriel, They Might Be Giants, Love and Rockets, Morrissey, Chris Issak, Queen, k.d. lang, Michael Penn, Dolly Parton, Oingo Boingo, Psychedelic Furs, and Psapp to name a few. Oh, and of course, M.C. Brennan.Movies
I've been going to see a lot of them lately. Into the Wild was good. Sweeny Todd kicked bloody ass! No Country for Old Men, or as I like to call it "the Mexican killing movie" was ok - I'm not sure why every one else is so gung ho about it, but to each their own. American Gangster was much better than I expected. I'm a huge movie lover. Some of my all time favorites are: Pirates!, Office Space, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Lonely Guy, Castaway, Contact, sex lies and videotape, All That Jazz, Eight Men Out, League of Their Own, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Rocky Horror, Jaws, Good Night and Good Luck, Fahrenheit 9/11, Supersize Me and many, many othersTelevision
Best New Show! Californication Best "New" Show on BBC America - Torchwood Other favs include The Office, Extras, Hex, Life on Mars, Studio 60, Grey's Anatomy, Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Boondocks, Venture Bros and catching up with Battlestar Galactica.I'm also a sucker for "Cheers" reruns (Diane only!) and the first four years of "The West Wing"
