Power to the Peaceful Festival today announced that the anticipated
2011 event will be rescheduled for 2012. The festival will return
annually thereafter.
After 12 years, the free music, arts and action event has grown into
an international destination experience incorporating a weekend of
concerts, yoga, dj's, action sports, environmental & social justice
organizations and workshops with last year's event attended by more
than 80,000.
In 2012 we will be transforming the festival into a celebration of the
multi-cultural heritage of the Bay Area, returning to Golden Gate
Park, bigger and better than ever.
"In this time of great change in the world, I can't think of a better
way to celebrate peace than by bringing the music, food and culture of
our diverse community all into one place. After 12 years of staging
the festival, we've decided to take a breather in 2011 so we can put
all of our energy into make the festival the most inspiring it can be
in 2012!"
Power to the Peaceful is a 501c3 non-profit organization who's
mission is to inspire people to bring about peace by giving back to
the world and our communities.
