General
As far as interestes go, since my stroke my attention is pretty much devoted to my computer. I feel that with my laptop, I can go anywhere in the world I would like. Now before my stroke I loved to golf and if I wasn't golfing, you could find me fishing. I loved to fish, especially wade fishing, and would go fishing whenever I had the chance.Music
I like anything from Country to Gospel. Having grown up in the late '70's early 80's, I like this era of Rock, I'm not much of a fan of the current type of Rock music though. I guess you could say that I like the 'oldies' songs a lot. My favorite type of music though is Christian music, you know like Mercy Me or Casting Crowns, that kind of stuff.Movies
I don't like those scary/gory movies, but I do like almost any other type of movie. I'm not gonna list their titles, let's just say that I like anything BUT scary/gory movies and musicals. I could do without those husband hating-baby dying movies too.Television
Books
Since my stroke it's hard for me to read a regular book so most of my reading is what I find for free online.Heroes
Of course my ultimate hero is Jesus, without Him I would be nothing. After Jesus my top hero is my wife Myra, who is my everything here on Earth.

As of July 31st, 2007 this is all new to me, so when I mess up, and I will, just laugh at me and go on. I had a stroke on 12/25/2000, yep Christmas day, but unlike some people I never blamed the Lord. In fact, since my stroke I've been able to meet and influence a whole other group of folks that I wouldn't have had contact with in any other way. My stroke took away my ability to walk and talk, but I do have two power chairs and a push chair to get around in. I have learned some sign language, and I've made up plenty of my own. I type with one finger in a 'hunt and peck' mode. Even though I am a Christian, I don't look down my nose as some do at others who might not be Believers. I just think of them as someone who hasn't experienced the love of God as I have. I've authored two books since my stroke, one of them is about my stroke the other one is a bunch of devotions that I write each day. We took several of these and made a book of them. I am also a deacon at my home church, Fairview Baptist, I was ordained shortly before my stroke. Each day I type a devotion that I call the Lighthouse Beam, I'm gonna include these writings in the blog section up above. If you're not on my mailing list, please read them. aww... Im sorry to hear that. Ive laid around all day with my back... oh and babysat a 3 and 5 year old haha. FUN TIMES! I hope your foot gets better soon. Hows Perry been feeling lately? Love you guys!!!
