  • Bio

We make instrumental music with strange intensity. Mike Isenberg (drums/keys/guitar) and Crowmeat Bob (reeds/guitar) are our primary composers. Our current line-up: Chris Eubank (cello/electric bass), Joey Chorley (electric bass/trumpet), and Tony Allen (guitar/percussion/drums/synth). We've got a few CDR collections: The most recent is called Bilocation, which includes our last session with Christopher Thurston at his home studio and a collection of stuff Jennifer Thomas recorded in our little practice space ("The Martian Demos"). They were recorded before Tony joined up and feature Brian Donohoe (Moog/percussion/drums), Terry Ford (drums) and Carrie Shull (oboe). Then there's the stufrf from a spell back with our former line-up (Phil Martelli on bass, Jon Hubbard on tenor sax, with guests Carrie Shull on english horn/oboe, Julian Sparacino on tenor sax/flute, and Peter Lamb on tenor sax) called "Solo Basura," a name suggested by our recording engineer for that session, Christopher Thurston. Our music varies stylistically from straight chord-change jazz to heavy-metal-jazz to Ornette-like head-improv-head to obsessive krautrock rhythms to doom metal to whatever else we feel like...
