Coloursound comprise two journeymen of British rock music, who decided to collaborate after meeting at a football match in the late 90s.
Mike Peters (ex-Alarm) and guitarist Billy Duffy (Cult) first worked together when Duffy contributed guitar parts to Peters’ 1998 solo set, Rise. They put their relationship on a formal level with the advent of Coloursound, writing and recording 12 tracks for a debut album after negotiating a contract with Peters’ label, Velvel. Prior to the album’s release, the duo ‘webcast’ basic demo tracks to fans on the Internet to gauge their popularity.
