Bio
The Deep, founded in 2005 is a 5 piece technical death metal band based out of Boise Idaho. Upon our 5 song EP released in 2006 we completed 2 US tours; a self booked West coast tour in the summer of 2007 and an East coast tour with "The Cast Pattern" (Laurence Kansas) in January 2008. We have opened for such bands as Despised Icon, Necrophagist and All Shall Parish to name only a few and received nothing but kind words from all. Despised Icon has requested us to play with them every time they have passed through Boise since 2006. In March of 2008 we took a hiatus as our Drummer Shawn Priest Joined Virginia based thrash metal band Arsis (Nuclear Blast). Shawn still acts as Arsis' touring drummer on occasion but In March of 2010, he reunited The Deep with a new vocalist and began writing all new material. In September we recorded our 6 track self titled EP and soon after passed over 100,000 plays on our Myspace page. With a new record, vocalist, van and trailer we're currently booking a May tour of the west coast and hope to continue touring and writing well into the future.
