  • Album almost ready

Finally, the day has come. Just wrapping up the final master export tonight, and putting the final touches on the art package. We plan on having the album available for free, via the website, in exchange for signing up for our mailing list.

So why after all this time would we just give the album away? Well, we're doing this purely in the hopes that people that really love it and want to support us will buy the real version with all the nice artwork provided. We also hope it will turn people on to us, and hopefully those same people that really enjoy it will check out or previous albums & ep as well. We will make sure everyone knows when it is available on our website to download.

  • photo shoot

considering it's been about 4 years since our last real one, it's time to do another one. I'm working on an idea right now that suits our style pretty nicely. Expect to see those up within the coming months.
  • Mixing complete - String recording - mastering

so we are complete with the mixing of our new album. We will be tracking some strings this weekend, which will pretty much just be dropped into a song (i don't anticipate heavy mixing). Then, it's just working out the segways and mastering, which is actually almost 1/2 way there already. So in all honesty, this thing could be wrapped up sooner than I had anticipated.
  • the internet is funny

as a fun late night experiment, i wanted to see how easily i could steal our own album off the internet. amazingly, it took no longer than 5 minutes of searching before i found a site where i could download the entire "ebb and flow" album for free.

i'd be a liar if i said i didn't steal music myself... I think at this point just about everyone does. however, i don't think "stealing" is the correct wordage. although i do often play roulette with albums, it generally only happens with artists i am already familiar with. why would anyone want to purchase an entire album without knowing whether or not it is worth it? i think it is perfectly rational and logical to want to sample something. therefore, i have no issues with anyone stealing our music. as a matter of fact, i implore everyone to use their resources and if so inclined, steal it. if you want it that badly, chances are you will become long term fans of it. All I can do is hope you think it is good enough to support it in some way or another.
