Canyons .
Huh? When American Psycho writer Bret Easton Ellis crafted the concept for The Canyons and cast porn star James Deen and Lindsay Lohan to play the lead roles, I certainly wasn’t expecting the final result to turn out looking like something from the 1970s. But I kind of like it, because most of the grindhouse movies we see these days (Hobo With A Shotgun, Machete, etc.) are highlighting the violent aspects instead of the sexual ones, and this project is sure to have its share of action between the sheets. Synopsis: THE CANYONS is a contemporary L.A. noir from director Paul Schrader, writer Bret Easton Ellis, and producer Braxton Pope about the dangers of sexual obsession and ambition, both personally and professionally, among a group of young people in their 20′s and how one chance meeting connected to the past unravels all of their lives, resulting in deceit, paranoia, cruel mind games and ultimately violence.
