Joey Bada$$ is only 17 and still goes to high school (he’s in his junior year), but already the up-and-coming rapper is attracting attention from the industry and fans alike. Bada$$ has so far only released a few tracks and a recent video for number “Survival Tactics,” but plans to unleash more of his spit-fire rhymes on the world in the coming months. Along with his 18-member Pro Era crew (short for Progressive Era), the rapper is establishing himself as a genuine, articulate artist who the press should stop comparing to Tyler the Creator. We had the opportunity to speak with Bada$$ this week and decided it’s better to let him tell his own story rather then us attempt to explain the tale so far.

Everyone’s favorite comedy duo Tenacious D are back and Jack Black and Kyle Gass will be embarking on tour this May to support their upcoming third album Rize Of The Fenix. If you’ve never seen the D live, trust us, it’s an experience that’s as tuneful as it is hilarious. The fun kicks off in Santa Barbara, California, on May 23rd and finishes in San Diego, California on July 29th.
