Aedis is the musical identity of Pennsylvania singer/songwriter Dan Weaver. Writing and performing in the Central Pennsylvania area for four years, Weaver has been perfecting his art. Though this singer/songwriter has his roots in acoustic indie rock, his style is not necessarily classifiable in any one genre. His formula is simple: as long as he feels it, he's willing to play it. Whether it be about heartbreak, self loathing, or his drive to work, Weaver will put his all into his work. A writer first and foremost, his work will never fade away because for him, it is an effective form of therapy. Aedis's forthcoming debut album, The Lover and the Liar, is a self produced journey into the mind of the brokenhearted. Consisting of fifteen emotional tracks, The Lover and the Liar, showcases the eclecticism of the man's influences and his ability to convey his feelings and a story through song. Even with such heavy tracks as Boston and You, Crowded Teeth still carries a balance with more subtle and somber songs Ash Street and Beautiful before giving way to the sheer emotional rollercoaster that is Linoleum Floor. With influences ranging from Bright Eyes and the Good Life to Modest Mouse and Deer and the Headlights, Aedis is reinventing a now all to familiar genre. After playing extensively through 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, Weaver took most of 2008 and 2009 off of performing to focus on writing and forging a new musical identity.
