boys come and go. so wait for a man. not just any man, YOUR man. don't wait for no prince charming or knight in shining armor to save you. he's never gonna fucking come, and who the fuck do you think you are playing damsel in distress anyway? you can't function without arm candy? you can't be a wholly complete person on your own? save the whiny self-pitying bullshit for someone who actually cares and lets get real. have standards. love yourself before you let anyone even TRY to love you. stop telling yourself that "this one is different" because when he breaks your heart, you will come to realize what an idiot you were. you know boys will be boys, you know people lose feelings, you know eyes wander, and you know it's not the end of the fucking world. stop wallowing and acting as if this was the guy you were supposed to end up with. don't sit there and grovel as if you can't be happy without him. you were fine before you met him, you'll manage without him in your life. yeah it hurts to know he can cut you out of his life just like that but so what? shows you how important you really were to him anyway. have some self-respect and surround yourself with people who truly love you, who won't leave you when shit hits the fan, who are there to listen to you when you cry and love you enough to tell you to shut the fuck up and move the fuck on. "that boy" who was "so different" wasn't so different after all huh? when times got hard he gave up. he didn't fight for you. he made you happy -- and then took it all back because he decided you weren't worth it. he probably loved you at some point, but he doesn't anymore. so stop talking about him. stop wasting your thoughts, your breath, your energy. stop wondering if he's still thinking about you. and stop telling your friends his new girlfriend is "a fugly slut" you know what? he's her problem now! when it's over. he means it. don't try to wiggle your way back into his heart. when something is over, it isn't "over (for now..)" it's done. move on. don't wait on second chances. close that chapter of your life and brace yourself for another roller coaster. the past is in the past and there is a reason why people you once thought you loved aren't in your life anymore. instead of drowning in your cynicism and being so bitter about all the "shit you been through" remember there were probably more good times than bad. don't claim to hate something that once made you happy. it's just a memory now. something to learn from. something that makes you stronger.
